Scenario 1 : East Coast Explorer: Outward Journey
Your taking Sir Nigel Gresley and The Tornado between York and Newcastle as nobody know this route better than you, you have worked for crosscountry for 12 years and for the past 12 weeks have been learning have been learning how to drive these 2 remarkable steam loco's, So theres not much more you need to know, the last train to leave york north bound was a HST to Aberdeen stopping at Newcastle Only on this section of train so you should have a good run, Cya...
Scenario 2 : East Coast Explorer; Return Journey
You have just drove a voyager from Newcastle - York and then a HST back up to Newcastle and after waiting for 35 minutes the Tornado has arrived with Sir Nigel Gresley on its way down to Darlington, however this isn't as simple as your outward journey, due to a early freight train your on the wrong platform and theres a HST due on your platform any minute now going north so the platform is in overload, also due to signalling problems the HSt an't switch platforms so you have to circle the station and arrive on the correct platform, Just as you think things have gone worse you are now 70 minutes behind schedual due to a late frieght train between Dunbar and Edinburgh and then when the railtour was returning from Inverness it got stuck behind a local stopper 158, the signaller has had to give the on time traffic priority making you get stuck behind a first transpennine express service stopping at Chester-le-Street and Durham so try and have a pleasn't run, its evening now so enjoy the Dark and the night freight, Its not all gone bad has it?
